Head Coach

Inna Paliy, M.Sc, B.Ed

NCCP Level 3, Provincial 1 Judge

Inna began practicing rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 5 in Ukraine where this sport was rapidly developing at that time. Many world top gymnasts and coaches were and still are working and training in Inna’s native city of Kiev. By the age of 8 Inna was practicing rhythmic gymnastics 10 hours a week, and by her 13th birthday was awarded the title “Master of Sports”. She was selected to compete at many local and national competitions, showed great results, and soon was admitted to the famous Deriugins School to practice along with World and Olympic champions. Inna continued to compete and perform as an individual gymnast, but most of all enjoyed being a member of competitive group. Due to her leadership qualities she was assigned as a leader in the group routines: she led her fellow gymnasts to competitive floor, gave them directions and helped to make instant decisions during the performance.

Passionate about human biology and kinetics, after receiving her High School Diploma with distinction, Inna focused on academic pursuits. By the age 22 she defended her first Masters thesis in science. While studying, she never quit rhythmic gymnastics and was a member and a leader of her University RG team. She traveled to compete with university students from other countries both individually and in group routines. She is a recipient of special University scholarship for athletic excellence as well as for academic excellence.

During her athletic career Inna won several titles, many medals and other awards. Continuously passionate about rhythmic gymnastics, she began her coaching career in Ukraine and continued later in France. She lived and worked in France for three years (oui, elle parle français!), and after arrival to Canada in 2002 she has been involved in local RG clubs as a volunteer, provincial competitive and now as a head coach for London Rhythmic Gymnastics Club.

Over past five years, Inna helped the competitive team of provincial and Interclub athletes of different ages and abilities to win 191 medals and countless ribbons at provincial and interclub competitions. In fact, the very first competition with Inna's coaching participation in 2004/2005 competitive season brought the title and trophy of the Best Club to London RGC for highest all around score per gymnast. In 2006, two gymnasts coached by Inna won the titles of Eastern Canada Regional Champions in their respective categories.

Meanwhile, Inna completed her M.Sc degree in Medical Biophysics at the University of Western Ontario, and finished the teachers college (Althouse Faculty of Education at UWO) by receiving Bachelor of Education Diploma with distinction. She is a high school teacher (science) at London District Catholic School Board.

After her arrival to Canada in 2002 Anna started to compete at provincial level, and since then won numerous podiums and trophies for her inspired and skillful performances. Over past seven years of her competitive carreer Anna acquired 45 medals and became Eastern Canada Regional Champion in her respective category.
