May 28 - June 1. RG 2008 Canadian Individual Championships (Montreal, Quebec). At her first national Championships Sarah Molnar showed descent results: 12th all-around with two routines placing top 10 - 7th place for the rope and 9th for the hoop. Congratulations Sarah!

May 10 - 11, 2008. RG Second Provincial Qualifier (Markham, Ontario). Anna, Yeritza and Nicole successfully qualified to Provincial Championships bringing home 3 bronze medals and 9 ribbons.

May 1 - 4, 2008. RG Eastern Regional Championships (Toronto, Ontario). Eastern Regionals serve as a National qualifier to Canadian national Championships. This competition also invites levels 5 and 6 (B and C) from Provincial stream. Our club sent two gymnasts to Toronto: Anna Paliy represented provincial level 5B category and Sarah Molnar competed in National senior Level 9. Both girls demonstrated strong athletic spirit finishing top 5 and 6 respectively. Sarah showed excellent ribbon routine and arrived fourth, following experienced competitors from Ontario and Quebec. Anna, in her turn, received a bronze medal for her ribbon routine.

April 27, 2008. Mississauga Newnorth Invitational. This multi-level invitational was held at Hershey Sports Center in Mississauga. London RGC sent 4 Interclub athletes to enjoy the continuation of their competitive season. Each gymnast showed one routine and the duet performed with hoops. Our excellent Interclub team collected maximum possible medals - 6. Among them 3 gold and 3 silver. Every routine received the podium and warm support from the audience. Congratulations Interclub gymnats: Aurora, Angie, Stephanie and Karolina!

April 6, 2008. Silhouettes InterClub Spring Classic (Newmarket, Ontario).

Our interclub competitors (4 individual and 1 duet) showed excellent results at this invitational tournament: 1 gold, 4 silvers and a ribbon for the 4th position. Aurora showed a great hoop routine and received a high score and a silver medal. Angie performed a ball routine and finished with a silver as well. Karolina was unbeatable with her lovely hoop routine and scored first in her respective level. Stephanie performed with ribbon and showed 4th result. The duet with hoops did a great job on the carpet and collected silver medals for their elegant routine.


April 5 -6, 2008. RG First provincial Qualifier (Newmarket, Ontario).

Three athletes representing London RGC at the first provincial qualifier collected 4 medals (all bronze) and 5 ribbons for 4th and 8th places. A great snap shot of Sarah Molnar from our club, 2007 Ontario Provincial Champion and an Athlete Recognition Award recipient, was used for Qualifier posters and a booklet cover. March 28-29, 2008. RG Elite Ontario (Toronto, Ontario).

Sarah Molnar competed at her first National qualifying competition Elite Ontario with following results: 8th in rope, 8th in hoop, 5th in clubs, and 8th in ribbon and finished in 6th all around position. The detailed scores and ranks can be viewed on Gymnastics Ontario web site.


March 14 -16, 2008. Kalev Invitational (Mississauga, Ontario).

This year, beside Canadian provincial and national gymnasts, Kalev RG Center invited international competitors from Russia, Mexico and Croatia to compete at the Hershey Sports Center. Four gymnasts from London collected 8 medals (4 gold and 4 silver) and 9 ribbons for 4th to 8th places.


February 24, 2008. Valentine Classic Invitational (Markham, Ontario).

Our Provincial team competed in this tournament with great success: Anna finished with bronze in every routine and allaround with score over 10.00 points for every routine, Yeritza won the all around silver and Nicole arrived first. 6 medals in total our excellent gymnasts collected at friendly Valentine Classic invitational.


February 9,2008. York Stars "Lite" (Markham, Ontario).

3 provincial gymnasts - Anna, Nicole and Yeritza - began their competitive season with great results at York Stars. In level 5B Anna finished 2nd all-around while Nicole and Yeritza came 1st and 2nd in their category. 11 medals (4 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze) were added to London RGC collection.


January 24 - 27, 2008. LA Lights Invitational (Los Angeles, California).

London RGC began 2008 competitive season with International top level competition in North America sending national competitor Sarah Molnar to compete in Level 9 Senior category. Sarah showed 4 newly choreographed routines and once again proved her great abilities and sportsmanship. Out of 18 experienced competitors from the USA, Canada and Australia, Sarah finished 5th with hoop, 8th with clubs, 11th with ribbon, 14th with rope, that secured her 8th all around place.
