The prerequisites for admission to London RGC National competitive division are: -
Top three in Ontario Provincial Championship in previous season in levels
B or C OR the first all around place in case of 4 competitors
or less. Newcoming experienced gifted athletes who wish to compete in National stream will be assessed and asked to produce competitive resume. National competitors prepare 4 routines with apparatuses prescribed by FIG for current World Championship cycle. They perform at invitational tournaments in Ontario, out of country and possibly abroad. In order to qualify to Canadian National Championship, the gymnast must participate and show qualifying results in Elite Ontario (in province) and Eastern Canadian Regional Championships. The participation in national level competition most often involves travel and accommodation. The participants of National program practice minimum 15 hours a week. They also perform at Club galas, trials and community events. |
